What is TXT Learning?
Trivia by phone. It’s mobile education that finds you where you are.
Questions cover math, English, science, Spanish, history and college prep. And all are provided by the National Education Association. New questions are sent everyday.
Who’s it for?
Students in grades 6 through 12
How does it work?
Students choose the subjects, and questions are sent to their cell phone. Thanks to trivia’s contagious nature ,TXT Learning users will likely bounce text questions to a friend or a parent, creating a mobile conversation. For instance, say the question is, Where is Mount Rushmore? People who correctly guessed South Dakota will want others to know they know. To test their smarts, TXT Learning members go to www.txtlearning.com for correct answers to daily questions.
How do I join?
Visit www.txtlearning.com. When students click the Sign In button
on the homepage, they complete a registration form. No worries,
parents. Your child’s personal information remains private and secure at all times. After the initial sign up, a second e-mail arrives with instructions to complete the process. After that, all that’s needed is a cell phone.
What’s on the Web site?
An interactive quiz, games, poll questions and trivia that covers math, English, science, Spanish, history and college prep.
Why do I need a separate password and user name to access the premium service?
The answer is too technical to explain, so just deal with it. Bet you thought we’d say, “Just because we said so,” didn’t ya?
